　　Is it true that many university students seem to lollygag during their university life? The answer is obvious and I side with the speaker, because fierce competition in the society requires integrated talents who are better equipped with not only good qualifications but also social skills and life skills.

　　Today, it has been observed that many university graduates have failed to find a well-paid job and  some even have become jobless, simply because most of them have not shown professional expertise which they are supposed to have. In fact, studies have shown that most students subconsciously take university life more recreative as the payback of their hard work in high school. They do not concentrate on what they are going to learn as much as they did in high school. That is probably why I agree that to better adapt themselves to the competition in job market, they are expected to devote more time and energy to the study.

　　In addition to having good qualifications, university students also should develop their social skills and life skills. In China, given that most students, born between 1980s and 1990s, are the only child in the family, they are more ego-centered, having no sense of sharing and collaborating with others, not to mention to be fully tolerant with errors and mistakes of others. Besides, most of them have been chronically dependent on their parents, meaning that they are far less than competent to make their own life. Taking part in other activities, such as doing social service and interviewing professionals in unicorn companies by group work, will definitely and unquestionably enhance their communicative competence as well as develop their teamwork spirit.

　　In conclusion, confronted with the upward competition coming in the future, university students are expected to make themselves better prepared, not only to be able to apply what they have learned in the university, but also to demonstrate their social as well as life skills. Therefore, they are supposed to spend lots of time on study, and also to be actively engaged in other activities.
